I have reached an importand stage of the mitten: the thumb.
I’ve already knitted this separately, again top-down. Because Frederique isn’t at home at the moment, I can’t check whether the thumb has reached the correct length. Ofcourse I took the size of his thumb, but that’s never as certain as during-knitting-fitting.

As soon as the thumb (according to the measurements) reaches the desired length, I will attach it to the mitten, using the three-needle join. This gives an fairly elastic join, which is important because this isn’t the most ergonomic mitten: there is no thumbgusset.
